The Oxford girls varsity soccer team won 3-0 in a non-league game May 17.
Oxford dominated the field, firing twenty more shots on goal than visiting Clio. The Oxford varsity record now advances to 7-12-1 overall, and 1-8-1 in the OAA white Division.
OHS went ahead early, scoring two goals in the first period alone. The first goal was struck by freshman Melissa Girak, with an assist from senior Chelsea Johnson.
The second goal came hot on the heels of the first, with Wildcat Sabrina Doslak booting the score up to 2-0 off of an assist from senior Chelsea Johnson. Oxford went into the half up 2-0.
At halftime, the coaches and fans paid tribute to the seniors and their parents.

Heather Lafnear heads off to Alma College to continue soccer and to study physical therapy.
Sara Ruch leaves for Marygrove college where she will major in Pre-medicine.
Ellen Saville opts for Northern Michigan University where she will pursue an education in Art History.
Twins Brianna and Chelsea Johnson both head into a premed major, Brianna at Aquinas college, and Chelsea at Wayne State.
Paige Brinker now moves on to Grand Valley State University where she plans on studying radiology.
Scoring in the second half was limited to a single goal coming from sophomore Wildcat Haley Hill. Her goal came at about midway in the second and served to shut down the visiting Clio booters for the rest of the half.
The final score was Oxford 3, Clio 0.
Coach Larry Ferris complimented the play of his team, crediting the solid defense of Oxford keeper Darien Bandel who had 5 saves in the non-league victory.
On Tuesday, May 15, Oxford held off visiting East Lansing, 1-0.
The lone goal came near the end of the first half from senior defensive back Paige Brinker, thanks to an assist by Wildcat senior Brianna Johnson.
OHS goalie Darien Bandel had a total of 11 saves in a dominant defensive shutout.
