On Monday, April 7, Brandon Township Building and Planning Director Tim Palulian was appointed the Township Liaison to updating the Groveland Township Master Plan.
The township’s current master plan was adopted in September 19. To accomodate area growth and development in Groveland Township and surrounding municipalities, the Groveland Township Planning Commission will study current conditions and trends to establish goals for managing future growth and development.
A notice of intent submitted by Planning Commission Chairman Vince Ferreri, identifies the plan’s land management policies will be geared toward preserving environmental signifiance.
The planning commission expects the update to take 15 months to complete.
A liaison official of bordering communities is required by the State of Michigan to contribute to the master plan.
