The Varsity Girls Golf team fell to 2-5 in the Flint Metro League with losses against Swartz Creek and Lapeer East this past week.
The girls came up three strokes short on Thursday, Sept. 24 against Lapeer East, losing 194-197.
Sophomore Claire Wolanin led the Wildcats with a 47 and Senior Anna Tomaka followed with a 49. Junior Emilie DeFrain shot a 50 and Senior Taylor Holtshouser finished the scoring for the Wildcat’s with a 51.
On Wednesday, Sept. 23 the girls traveled out to Swartz Creek and came back losing 183-210.
Wolanin shot a team best 49 that day, while DeFrain and Tomaka each shot a 53. Senior Sara Decker closed out the scoring for the Wildcats with a 55.
The Wildcats have two home matches left before the League Tournament on at Boulder Pointe Golf Club on Monday, Oct 5. They play against Linden on Wednesday, Sept. 30 and against Carman-Ainsworth on Thursday, Oct. 1.
