Dunckley assigned to Oakview

The hunt is on for a new principal at LOHS.
In a letter to parents, Superintendent Ken Gutman announced Todd Dunckley is heading to Oakview Middle School as assistant principal. In the mean time, Dunckley will stay at the high school.
The question of the hour is: who will take his spot July 1? Right now the district is accepting applications from qualified candidates both in and out of the district. Administrators say they’ve already received several applications but won’t make any decisions for some time.
‘This process will consist of multiple rounds of interviews, site visits to the school districts of final candidates, and an opportunity for finalists to meet staff and parents,? Gutman said.
‘We want to have as large of a pool as we can to make a good choice.?
In addition to Dunckley’s transfer, administrative rosters will show several other changes.
John Bernia, whose spot Dunckley will take at Oakview, is heading to Waldon middle school as assistant principal. Randy Groya has been serving as interim principal there and will officially take the position upon board approval.
