Breakfast may not the first meal that pops to mind when thinking about a pizza place, but at Steve’s Pizzeria even the breakfast option is covered.
The pizzeria, located at 3016 Baldwin Road, now offers a selection of baked goods, donuts and bagels, starting fresh every morning at 6 a.m. (8 a.m. on Sundays).
‘We were looking for a bakery in the area that did old-fashioned baked goods,? said Steve’s Pizzeria owner Bill Kelley, noting that they couldn’t find any anywhere, prompting them to take matters into their own hands. ‘We figured we got the kitchen, we have all the materials here and the know-how.?
One thing led to another and the pizzeria started producing bagels, donuts, coffeecakes, cream puffs and specialty cakes.
‘They’re the best baked goods available on this side of town,? Kelley added, noting that they also have fresh brewed coffee as well.
He also said that if customers stop in and don’t see something they want, to let them know as they’ll ‘increase capacity based on need.?
Kelley hopes that customers will stop in to see what breakfast and baked goods they offer, especially with their easy-to-get-to Baldwin Road location.
‘We’re on the southbound side of Baldwin and in the mornings it’s easy in and out,? he said.
Just as Steve’s Pizzeria can cater a lunchtime meeting or evening event, they will also create trays with breakfast items for companies, as well as deliver them prior to 6 a.m.
They also offer a special 10 percent discount for those that require daily deliveries of catered items.
Steve’s starts serving all the standard pizzeria items at 11 a.m. These include a variety of pizzas, subs, salads, pasta dishes, ribs, which Kelley claims are the ‘best there are in town,? plus a variety of other items.
They also offer a Friday night Fish Fry, featuring lake perch and cod, and a different special every month, such as stuffed pork loin.
As mentioned before, Steve’s also offers catering, and Kelley said they have a three-ring binder filled ‘with all kinds of stuff from mini chicken tacos to beef Wellington.?
Steve’s Pizzeria is located at the Baldwin/Waldon intersection, and are open Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 6 a.m. to 12 a.m., and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
