Things are a wee bit exciting at Dance for Fun lately, as they will now be offering a Celtic Dancing program, in cooperation with Dancin? Feet School of Gaelic Culture and Dance.
Celtic dance classes are available for all ages, such as classes for Wee Ones, Bravehearts (boys), Young Maidens, and for adults, Bonnie Lassies.
‘We have a real family environment at Dance For Fun, perfect for the Celtic community,? said Cynthia Bass, owner of Dance for Fun. ‘One father even plays the fiddle during his daughter’s dance class.?
‘Everyone smiles in a good Celtic class,? added instructor Renee Ginnell, who has been teaching for years and is now bringing her experience and passion to Dance for Fun.
Dance For Fun has been teaching students of all ages. This unique studio offers a wide range of classes from the typical ballet, pointe, lyrical, tap, jazz and hip hop, to more specialized classes such as baton twirling, diaper dancing, pilates, yoga, yogalates, ballroom and even belly dancing.
‘Dance For Fun is non-competitive, which is very different from all of the other local dance studios,? said Bass, who is referred to as Miss Cindy by her students. ‘We not only teach quality dance instruction, we teach responsibility – school work is always a priority – a sense of community, as well as social skills, in a fun family environment.?
