Good Shepherd Lutheran School hosted its annual Safety Night for local youth last Friday.
The event, which was held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., was free and open to the community.
Guests from the Lake Orion Fire Department, Oakland County Sheriff’s Department and the American Red Cross joined others to educate about various topics ranging from fire safety and bike safety to germs and staying healthy.
The Masons sponsored MI Chip, and parents were able to fingerprint their children, along with taking their DNA and other information that can come in handy in the face of an emergency.
While the families learned about safety, they were also able to enjoy some hot dogs, chips, pop and popcorn.
Good Shepherd is located on Baldwin Road, about one mile south of Clarkston Road.
