Morales leads Brandon kickers to victory

Brandon’s Ryan Morales provided all the offense the Blackhawks? varsity soccer team would need in their Oct. 10 game against Linden.
Morales, a junior, scored all three Brandon goals as the visiting Blackhawks defeated the Eagles 3-2 in a Flint Metro League matchup. He now has 14 goals and 11 assists on the season.
The Blackhawks improved their record to 7-5-2 overall and 6-3-2 in league action. Brandon is currently in second place in the Flint Metro, trailing Linden, which was undefeated in league play as of press time.
With about four games left before the start of districts, Brandon coach Nathan Hunter said the Blackhawks are working on making sure they are ready for the playoffs.
‘We’re really trying to play at our very best come districts,? he said. ‘That’s the next goal at the top of our list. We want to make sure we’re playing our best. We feel if we can come out of districts, we can make an impact in regionals.?
