If their first three dual meets of the season are any indication, the Brandon varsity boys tennis team will be a force to be reckoned with.
Not only did Brandon win all three of those matches, they swept their opponents 8-0 in all three. Their most recent triumph came April 11 at the expense of visiting Swartz Creek.
In singles action, C.J. Coudret defeated Brandon Schnizel at #1 singles 6-1, 6-1; David Hughes defeated Jake Schaenzer at #2 singles 6-0, 6-0; Kyle Rascher defeated Matt Holmes at #3 singles 6-4, 6-1; and Josh Coudret defeated Michael Miller at #4 doubles 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles action, Chris Nuccio and Garrett Warrilow defeated Bratt Cutter and Kyle Grlenbeck at #1 doubles 6-3, 6-2; Steve Sanday and Ryan McCabe defeated Alex Zaromski and Calvin Reed at #2 doubles 6-1, 6-1; Andy Collier and Troy Nuccio defeated Austin Germain and Jacob Airgood at #3 doubles 6-2, 6-0; and Kyle Hartwig and Scott Thurman defeated Eric Harburn and Josh McDaniel at #4 doubles 6-0, 6-0.
The Blackhawks? second win of the season came April 6 against Davison. C.J. Coudret defeated Aaron Wehrli at #1 singles 6-0, 6-0; Hughes defeated Kyle McCormick at #2 singles 6-0, 6-0; Rascher defeated Dave Schultz at #3 singles 6-4, 6-1; and Josh Coudret defeated Brad Finkbeiner at #4 singles 6-1, 6-3.
