Ski team tears up the slopes

Clarkston skiing is carrying on a yearly tradition with both the boys and girls teams dominating the slopes. The Wolves ski teams both improved to 5-0 as they kicked snow in the face of Rochester Adams and Andover on Jan. 24.
‘There’s always things to improve on,? said Coach Bruce Rosengren. ‘I’d like to see us get just a bit cleaner.?
The meet was a make-up from a rained out Jan. 12/13 event. Due to problems with scheduling the teams only participated in the Giant Slalom.
The girls team beat Andover 12-30 and Adams 10-34.
Mo Weiland (first, 36.92), Trisha Parker (second, 38.32), Jen Stanton (fourth, 39.19) and Alyssa Vermeulen (fifth, 39.28) scored points.
The boys bested Andover 11-31 and Adams 10-35.
Scoring points for the boys were: Alex Rosengren (first, 35.99), Jeff Haladik (second, 36.58), Eric Weiland (third, 36.63) and Kevin Vahlbusch (fifth, 36.8).
