Kirk A. Wirls, 37, of Lake Orion, Mich., formerly of Lancaster, PA, entered eternal rest unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, in Royal Oak, Mich.
He was born in Lancaster and was the loving son of David and Karen (Neiss) Wirls.
After graduating from high school, he moved to Michigan and attended Mott Community College in Flint, where he earned his associate’s degree in Auto Mechanics. He then decided that Michigan would be his new home.
Kirk was a man of many likes and interests. He enjoyed playing guitar, skateboarding, concerts, camping and bonfires with friends. Any time he could spend with his friends he was happy no matter what they were doing. Working on cars outside of work was something that he would do for fun. Kirk had a passion for music. To say that he had an eclectic taste in music was an understatement. He would even listen to music that no one else liked.
Kirk was the type of person who would laugh until he cried, cuddle with his dog Pickles, and care with all his heart. He will be missed by so many, but his memory will live on in so many loved ones that he has left a lasting imprint on this world for years to come.
In addition to his parents, Kirk is survived by his brothers, Ian and Samuel Wirls; maternal grandfather, Eugene Neiss; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins and many, many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and maternal grandmother.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Kirk’s Memorial Service at The Groffs Family Funeral Home, 528 W. Orange Street, Lancaster, PA on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Dana Statler officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
