Lady Dragons basketball drops games against Stoney Creek, West Bloomfield

The Lake Orion High School girls varsity basketball team lost their last two games against Stoney Creek and West Bloomfield high schools.
The Dragons lost a league match-up, 48-46, to Stoney Creek on Jan. 31. Seniors Izzy Wotlinski scored 18 points and grabbed six rebounds, Charlotte Peplowski scored 13 points and collected six rebounds and Amelia Guccione scored six points while collecting seven rebounds.
Junior Dani Heck scored five points and had three rebounds and freshman Ulara Hill scored four points with three rebounds.
The Dragons lost to West Bloomfield, 55-35, on Jan. 28, at Lake Orion High School.
Wotlinski led Lake Orion in scoring with 17 points and four rebounds. Guccione led the team in rebounding with seven, while sophomore Kara Veeder scored 10 points and had three rebounds.
Junior Riley House, Peplowski, Hill and Guccione each scored two points.
Lake Orion (9-7) is now fourth in the OAA Red with one league win and two losses. They are behind Clarkston, West Bloomfield and Stoney Creek in the OAA Red standings.
The Dragons play Ferndale at 7 p.m. tonight at Lake Orion High School. – J.G.
