Margaret Elaine (Jacobs) Nutt, born September 6, 1948 passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 28, 2024 at the age of 77.
Born in Layland, WV to parents Robert Jacobs and Kathleen (Patterson) Jacobs.  Margaret graduated from Oakland University in Rochester Hills, MI with a bachelor’s degree in accounting while working at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital as an accountant. Margaret was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and the Michigan Quilting Guild. She was passionate about quilting, her family and active in several community organizations in Hastings, MI.
She was also a bookworm with a guilty pleasure for romance novels.
Margret is survived by her beloved husband David Lee, her son Christopher David (Susan), grandchildren Darby Clementine and Sheamus Robert. Her brothers Michael, Daniel (Beth), Patrick (Deborah). Sisters Karen, Elizabeth and Nora (Tony). Margaret is proceeded in death by her brother Robert and brother-in-law Bernard.
A celebration of her life will be held in Lake Orion, MI on Sunday January 26, 2025 in the Village of Lake Orion at the Wine Social for High Tea from Noon to 3 p.m.
