Marvin O. McVicar of Lake Orion passed away on Nov. 20, 2024. He was 86 years old.
Marvin is the beloved husband of the late Marilyn Kay, who passed away in 2009 after 48 years of marriage; the loving father of Tim (Connie), Tom, and Tracy (Shelley); loving grandfather of 10; and great-grandfather of 11. He is also survived by his brother Roger (Mary) McVicar, and sister Joann Chaulk.
Marvin was a veteran of the Army and a life member of the Oakland County Sportsman Club. He retired from Pontiac Motors after 35 years as an architectural engineer.
Funeral were held on Monday, Nov. 25, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home in Lake Orion. The family received friends on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024 from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment is at Eastlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Orion Veterans Memorial.
