Clarkston Area Chamber of Commerce is literally rolling out the red carpet for the 25th annual Clarkston Business Expo, 6-8 p.m., Nov. 10.
‘When people talk about shop local and patronize local business, the expo is a great place to find out who those people are. If you’re already a customer or client, come out and support the people you know and love,? said Penny Shanks, chamber executive director. ‘If you’re looking for something come out and checkout what services are available in the Clarkston area and just have a really good time.?
Admission is free and Shanks said they will have the spotlights out again and are looking at around 100 exhibiters.
‘I know our members get really creative and do a lot to showcase what their business is in a fun interactive way,? she said. ‘What they can do is amazing.?
Shanks noted there will also be vehicles from different auto dealers as part of the expo exhibiters. People will also be able to play the BINGO Stamp game and win door prizes. The big door prize this year will be an iPad 2.
The expo will also include a DJ playing music and giving announcements, as well ‘a lot of things people know and expect at the expo, they’ll see,? with a couple surprises.
Most of all, Shanks and the chamber wants people to come and support their local businesses.
‘I think it’s important to be supportive of our local businesses,? she said. ‘They have struggled for years, this economy has not been good, and this is a good time to show the businesses that made it through that we really love you.?
