I read an article (“Road commission cautions drivers about gravel road conditions”, page 1, Lake Orion Review, March 10, 2021) about how bad the gravel roads are in Lake Orion, but how about Heights Road?
I have lived here for 50 years on Bellevue Island and the last time I remember anything being done to the roads is when the sewers were put in back in the 70s. That was a major job and I am sure that doing Heights Road would also be a major job, but it does need to be done?
What is it going to take to get this road repaired?
I am sure for those of us who travel this road every day have felt the way I feel about the Heights Road. The last I heard there was no future plan to have Heights Road fixed.
Even Heights Road passed Pine Tree is getting worse.
I pray that something can be planned in the future. M-24 is very well done, Clarkston Road has been done and Indianwood Road has been completed and also Pinetree Road has been worked on.
So what do we have to do to get Heights Rd fixed?
Don’t waste the tax payers money filling in the holes that only wash out after the first rain.

Pat, Heights Road is known concern for those in some sort of representative capacity. It is often brought up in conversation and then in a very wink wink condescending answer its said this is a Township issue or it’ll get done with the water supply job or next year. No one wants to handle it on any level and cant commit to anything or demand action for fear of making someone angry so we get lied to and sent away thinking someone is actually going to do something. ( BS). It slows traffic and that’s a good thing but it beats the hell out of your car and we get enough of that.
