A very good thing happened Sunday, Nov. 29.

Some veterans were asked to look into a very tattered flag flying at a business on M-24. Two veterans did stop by with a new flag in hand.

While waiting to talk to the manager, a person, we know only as Steve, came up and thanked us for our service and asked what we were doing. We explained our mission.

He went to his pocket and said he wanted to pay for the flag.

We as veterans show respect to our flag at every opportunity. Steve, you did a very honorable thing this Sunday afternoon.

We Salute You, Steve.
