Turnovers, poor shooting hurt Cats? at Clio game

The Oxford Varsity boy’s basketball team just can’t seem to get a break. They lost 33-48 against Clio Friday night.
Although Oxford was ahead early in the second quarter 16-9, turnovers and poor shooting plagued them for the following quarters.
The Wildcats were up 21-19 at the half and trailed 28-35 at the end of the third.
Senior captain Zach Tilley led Oxford with 11 points, followed by sophomore Mike Bertling with seven and five rebounds. Senior captain Rick Brady collected five rebounds and score four points during the first half.
Senior captain Matt Patria did a good job defensively holding Clio’s first-team all league player to zero points in the first half and only 11 for the game.
The Wildcats are now 4-6 overall and 3-6 in the Flint Metro League. They travel to Swartz Creek on Friday for a 7:30 p.m. game.
