Swinging for state

The Girls Varsity Tennis team finished their regular season with a win against Stoney Creek and Utica Eisenhower in preparation for this week. They beat both teams 8-0.
Going into Thursday morning at Rochester High School the girls are feeling confident.
“The girls have been working really hard,” said Becky Freeman, head coach. “They want to stay late. They want to keep working. They don’t want practice to end early. They are buckling down and really want to play well to guarantee us a spot at states to go compete at that level.”
The girls will go in seeded in the top two spaces and the singles and doubles players are ready for the matches.
“They are playing with confidence. They want to go into regionals strong,” said Freeman. “Our doubles team have their confidence up after the last tournament. They are working really hard. They are all committed.”
The girls play at 9 a.m. on Thursday against Lake Orion, Rochester, Stoney Creek, Rochester Adams, Pontiac Milford, Waterford Kettering, Waterford Mott and West Bloomfield.
