The Oxford Boys Swimming continued their opening season with a 114-61 loss against Fenton on Thursday, Jan 22.
Oxford Swim Coach Jackie Boswell was proud of the improvement the boys made in their individual and team times during the meets. ‘The awesome thing about the first year of any program is that you get to see the constant improvement,? she said.
Some of the individual results from the meet are listed below.
In the 200 yard Medley Relay, the A Relay Team of Jacob Pierzinski, Jake Clark, Joey Tasch and Spencer Britt took third with a time of 2:07.64.
In the 200 yard freestyle, Zach Venema took second with a time of 2:25.01 and Corey Bell came in fifth.
In the 200 yard Individual Medley, Andrew Raczka came in third with a time of 2:30.77, followed closely by Travis Roth in 4th and Pierzinski in fifth.
In the 50 yard freestyle, Britt posted a time of 26.75 and Jimmy Walker finished fifth.
In the 100 yard Butterfly, Raczka finished third with a time of 1:12.26 and Corey Bell came in fifth.
In the 100 yard Freestyle, Taylor Keller came in fourth with a time of 1:04.62 and Kyle Shick came in fifth.
In the 500 yard Freestyle, Venema posted a fourth place finish with a time of 6:29.46 and Cody Fredericks came in fifth.
In the 200 yard Free Relay, the A team relay of Pierzinski, Roth, Britt, and Raczka came in second with a time of 1:44.93.
In the 100 yard Backstroke, Shick posted the third best time with 1:14.53, and Scott McIsaac came in fifth.
In the100 yard Breaststroke, Pierzinski finished third with a time of 1:24.49, and Roth and Clark came in fourth and fifth respectively.
In the 400 yard Free Relay, Oxford’s A Relay of Raczka, Shick, Roth, and Britt came in third with a time of 4:12.44.
Oxford looks to continue to improve in their next meet against Brandon and Holly on Feb 3.
