The kids at Sunny Day Preschool showed the true spirit of the holidays by giving away Christmas cups stuffed with cookies and chocolate treats on Dec. 16.

The students in Cindy Winther’s preschool classes loved leaving colorful surprises at the place settings in the dining hall at Lake Orion United Methodist Church. The church hosts a free community dinner on Monday evenings.

The lucky guests will not only sit down to a homecooked meal, but may be overwhelmed by that warm, festive feeling when they see the gifts left for them.

Each of the preschoolers got to place a few cups, which were donated by the families. – J.N.
