Scripps Middle School thespians to perform comedic spoof,  MmmBeth

Scripps Middle School thespians will present MmmBeth, a one act comedy by Allison Williams, next Tuesday and Wednesday.

The play, a spoof of the Shakespeare tragedy MacBeth, begins at 7 p.m. Feb. 15 and Feb. 16 in the cafeteria at Scripps Middle School,

Lake Orion High School thespians Elijah Vernagus and Maggie Bayley are directing the play

Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and will be sold at the door.

In the play, everything goes wrong. The witches take over the storytelling, Queen Duncan would rather open a donut franchise than die, Lady M’s a bloodthirsty housewife and the murderers are preoccupied with creating a commercial for their services, according to a description of the play from Theatrefolk.com, a drama teaching resource company.

The play features 10 characters and has a runtime of about 45 minutes. – J.N.
