I am a lifelong member of the the Lake Orion community, and as such, I have been witness to, and proud of, the growth and progress it has seen.

I can remember when riding stables existed along M-24 near Greenshield Road, and Richardson’s served up ice cream!

Since that time, Lake Orion has expanded in leaps and bounds, and our school system had to grow and change along with it. During those periods, the community relied upon its dedicated volunteers on the school board to not only meet the challenges of providing a quality education in times of change, but to strive for a world-class education for all of its students.

We are thankful to those who have served in the past, as their guidance has helped to foster the excellence in our schools.

In times of uncertainty, as we are experiencing now, those with experience, vision and dedication are invaluable; Scott Taylor, a fellow lifelong Dragon, possesses these qualities.

Listing his numerous contributions to Lake Orion would exceed the printable limits of this letter; his service to the community is unparalleled, and his love for Dragon Country has yet to be matched.

Most importantly, Scott Taylor demonstrates through word and action that he is a strong advocate for the children of Lake Orion, and will continue to keep their needs squarely in his sights as we navigate the days ahead.

I am privileged to cast my ballot for his re-election to the school board.
