Rison Construction focuses on community involvement

Rison Construction, L.L.C. does business a little differently than other construction companies, says owner Mike Riddle.
‘We’re somewhat of a unique firm because we will work with either our contractors or the homeowner’s contractors in order to complete a job within a budget that the owner establishes,? he said.
‘We also help with financing and consider ourselves as a one-stop shop,? Riddle said. Those aspects of the business help set Rison Construction apart from the competition.
Rison Construction is a licensed and insured company doing most of their work in northern Oakland County and Genesee County. They can design and build any remodel job, new construction home or commercial project. Rison has been working in Brandon Township since 1990.
‘I think our experience and dedication is key,? he said. ‘The ability to be a one-stop shop and the ability to work with homeowners within their budgets is what makes us unique.?
Rison currently has four specialty homes under construction in Groveland Township and Clarkston. They have many renovations throughout northern Oakland County and three new homeowner build jobs in Brandon and Groveland Townships.
‘We use established, seasoned trades who have worked with us for many years,? he said. ‘On staff, we have about seven employees who bring many years of skilled experience in every area of construction.?
Riddle said Rison Construction is flexible in how they build their properties. ‘We’re willing to build on our lots or on the lots that homeowners own,? he said. ‘We are also willing to use our designs, the homeowner’s design, or sit down and plan a custom design that is practical for the owner.?
Upcoming goals for the year, Riddle said, would include continuing to grow within the surrounding communities (Brandon, Groveland and Independence).
‘Our goal is to be very involved with the community. We want to establish our developments ready for the end user ? the homeowners.?
Rison Construction has a new development on Granger Road in Brandon Township, which is called Hunter’s Ridge.
Their new development is a private 10-lot community with custom homes, one of which (a 4,200 square foot remodel) has started. The total development is 40 acres, and Riddle said it is a very unique property consisting of hills, large pines, wetlands, and a creek.
Riddle and wife Marcy, along with their family, hope to remain a part of the area for many years to come. ‘We intend to grow with the community,? he said.
