Raise cash for PTO by test-driving cars

When you attend the Oxford Elementary/Daniel Axford PTO Spring Fair this month, be sure to check out their newest fund-raising feature.
Dubbed the Chrysler Drive for the Kids, Palace Chrysler/Jeep of Orion will set up a short test course with three vehicles for licensed drivers over 18-years-old.
After the test-drive, the driver must complete a short evaluation card. The PTO will receive $5 from Chrysler for each completed evaluation form.
The evaluation is just a one-page form that asks the driver if they would be interested in purchasing a Chrysler vehicle and how they liked driving that particular vehicle.
According to Dave Bartlo, a Chrysler Field Representative, successful schools have put 70 to 100 drivers through the course in a two-hour period, with the challenge being to beat these numbers.
‘I personally did an event with a Saginaw school where over 200 rides were performed in three hours,? he said. ‘So the school was presented with a check for over $1,000.?
There is no cost for the school or those participating in the event
The OES/DA Spring Fair will take place Saturday, March 29, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at OES.
Bartlo would like to thank OES principal Debbie Stout, Oxford Township Parks and Recreation Director Ron Davis and Palace Chrysler/Jeep for their support of this event.
