Brandon coach Kim Rackel could not find any bright spots in the Blackhawks? performance Jan. 5 against visiting Oxford.
The Blackhawks could not get untracked against the Wildcats in their Flint Metro League opener, dropping a 2-15, 8-15 match which left their overall record at 5-8.
‘Our performance lacked any type of intensity,? Rackel said. ‘We have to pick it up if we want to win in the league.?
Brandon also had a tough time Jan. 3 at the Marysville Invitational, dropping all four of their matches.
However, Rackel said the Blackhawks are still capable of having a good season, and also said the team had a good practice the day after the Oxford loss.
‘I still have confidence in their potential,? she said. ‘We need to prove we can come out ready to play each Monday and Thursday.?
Brandon returns to action Monday, Jan. 12 when they travel to Lapeer West for a 7 p.m. match.
