Man in crisis gets assistance

Deputies responded to a 911 call at 4:31 p.m. March 15 for a welfare check on a 28-year-old man.

Upon arrival, deputies located the man and determined that he was in crisis and needed to be transported to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.

The man was transported by STAR EMS without incident.

Sheriff’s Office investigates theft, unlawful entry complaint

Oakland County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating an unlawful entry into a home and theft complaint after several items went missing from the home while the owner was away.

Deputies responded to the 1100 block of Dutmer Terrace at 2:58 p.m. March 15 for a breaking and entering complaint.

A 67-year-old resident told deputies that a key was given to a neighbor in order to keep an eye on the residence.

On March 12, someone was in the residence without permission and removed several items from the residence.

Deputies noticed that there was no forced entry into the residence.

Detectives are reviewing ownership issues and continuing the investigation.

Thieves steal employee’s license plate at grocery store

Deputies were dispatched to Kroger, 460 N. Lapeer Rd., at 11:10 a.m. March 18 when an employee called and said someone had taken his vehicle’s license plate.

An employee told deputies that he arrived at work around 6 a.m.

Later in his shift he returned to his vehicle and noticed that his license plate was missing.

The plate was entered into the Law Enforcement Information Network (LEIN) as missing or stolen.

There are no suspects or witnesses at this time.

Orion Twp. firefighters save man from drug overdose

Authorities were called to a home on the 4300 block of Rohr Road at 10:07 p.m. March 18 for a drug overdose.

Deputies and the Orion Township Fire Department arrived on scene and found a 37-year-old man, a resident of Orion Township, laying on his bedroom floor.

The man was conscious, and the Orion Township firefighters gave the man medical aid and transported him to a local hospital.

St. Patrick’s Day fight ends with woman’s arrest

A 24-year-old Columbiaville woman did not have the luck of the Irish on her side and ended her St. Patrick’s Day with a trip to jail.

Lake Orion police were called to a local business on S. Broadway Street at 10:06 p.m. March 17 for a report of a fight in front of the establishment.

Police arrested the Columbiaville woman for assault and battery on her girlfriend, a police report stated.
