Brandon Twp.- The planning commission will review the preliminary approval and conditions of a 144-unit apartment complex site plan at the request of the developer.
The meeting, with Brandon Forest Lake Company (Silverman), is set for 7:30 p.m., Dec. 11, at the township offices, 395 Mill St.
The township granted Silverman Development Company preliminary approval for the 1-bedroom, traditional, garden-type apartments planned near M-15, north of Solley’s Appliance and Fireplace Center, at a June 12 meeting. However, there has been some confusion over the conditions attached to the preliminary approval.
‘They are requesting clarification of those conditions and they believe they have complied with a couple of the conditions already,? said Building and Planning Director Tim Palulian. ‘One was a relocation of one of the units and they addressed a couple of the minor wetlands issues. They are just asking for a confirmation on what they have left to do before they come in for a final approval.?
Palulian said Silverman representatives have told him the multiple real estate market has improved.
Steve Robinson, president of Silverman Development Company, said he is coming back to the planning commission to show his company has resolved several of the conditions, but not all, since some can’t be resolved until final approval is given.
‘It has yet to be determined when we will build,? he said. ‘We’re probably looking at next summer.?
