Pelton’s Point in village’s hands

The future of Pelton’s Point could be decided next Monday night.
The Lake Orion Village Council will hear the second reading and could possibly adopt Ordinance 26.85 at its next meeting on March 12.
According to Village Manager JoAnn Van Tassel, Orion Pointe LLC has submitted an application for Final Planned Unit Development (PUD) approval for a mixed-use commercial/residential development on property commonly known as Pelton’s Point.
The land in question is on the west side of M-24 (Lapeer Road), just south if Green’s Park. It is currently zoned C-3, Lakeside Business District.
If approved, the proposed project, known as Orion Pointe Condominiums, includes a medical and professional office building and four one-family attached residential dwelling units.
The next Lake Orion Village Council will be held next Monday, March 12 at 7:30 p.m. in Lake Orion Village Hall, at 37 East Flint Street in downtown Lake Orion.
