The Orion Art Center hosted their All Media Art Show the last week of March and had two Oxford residents receive honors.
Over 115 two and three-dimensional art pieces were put on display, but Oxford resident Diana Ostrand’s oil painting of a pitcher and cup took Best of Show. Ostrand owns Accent on Art in downtown Lake Orion.
First Place went to Oxford resident Tracy Nara for her bronze sculpture titled ‘This One Next!? of her sons and husband reading a bedtime story.
Lake Orion resident Larry Nelson won Second Place for his hand-carved wooden clocks, while Ann Arbor resident Kristen Letts Kovak won Third Place for an oil painting.
Honorable Mentions went to Lapeer resident Dale Vronch for photography; Clarkston resident Mike Hendrix for an acrylic painting; Lake Orion resident Kimberly Kelly Santini for an acrylic painting on linen; and Oakland Twp. resident Arlene Kruchay of for her watercolor painting.
The show was judged by Romeo residents Doug and Kathryn Johnson.
The All Media Show will be on display through Saturday, April 26 and then travel to the Orion Township Public Library for an additional month.
