Oxford athletes recognized by FML

Football
Eleven members of the Oxford Varsity football team were recognized for their outstanding season by the Flint Metro League. Running back, Zach Line, tight end, Danny Johnston, center, Danny Cummings, offensive linemen Tony Schlader and Mike Misenar, all were named 1st Team All-League.
Defensive lineman, James McClean, James Nelson and Line also were named 1st Team Defense All-League. Running back, Joel Fortier, was named 2nd Team Offense All-League, while defensive lineman, Keith Bessler, was named 2nd Team Defense All-League.
Offensive lineman, Gerry Murphy, and kicker, Don Pohl, each received an Honorable Mention.
Soccer
Five members of the Oxford Varsity boys soccer team were recognized for their outstanding season by the Flint Metro League. Senior captain Gethin Angell was named 1st Team All-League, All-District. Junior Steven Walker was named 2nd Team All-League, All-District. Senior captains Andrew Klimbal and David Hurrish recieved an Honorable Mention and All-District. Senior Rick Brady received an Honorable Mention.
For team awards, Angell received the Team MVP award, Klimbal was named Most Improved, Hurrish was named Defenseman of the Year and senior Brad Gilliam was given the Wildcat Award.
Cross Country
Five members of the Oxford Varsity boys and girls cross country team were recognized for their hard work during this season by the Flint Metro League. Taylor Dewey was named 1st Team All-League. Megan Seeley was named 2nd Team All-League. Adam Heskitt, Erik Joergen and Ben Cole each received an Honorable Mention.
Golf
Two members of the Oxford Varsity girls golf team were recognized for their hard work during this season by the Flint Metro League. Anna Moses and Anna Tomaka each recieved an Honorable Mention.
