Woman was out drinking while couple’s child was with her

ORION TWP. – An Orion Township woman was arrested after assaulting her husband who was angry she returned to their home intoxicated – with their child in her custody while she was drinking.
Deputies went to a home on the 1000 block of Indianpipe Road for a domestic assault report at 7:56 p.m. Nov. 2, according to an incident report.
A 26-year-old Orion Township man told deputies that his wife returned home intoxicated with their child. The man said they started to argue and then he took their child from her because she was intoxicated.
The wife then allegedly struck the man in the face while he was holding the child. The man managed to get to a room and lock the door.
Based on statements made by both parties, and observations of the deputies, the 30-year-old woman was arrested and taken to the Oakland County Jail pending the issuance of criminal charges.
The Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office authorized a complaint for Domestic Violence. The woman was arraigned on the charge and given a $3,000 bond.
