An Orion Township man was charged with assaulting his father and two counts of assault on a police officer after an altercation on June 23., the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Deputies went to a home on the 3800 block of Bald Mountain Road at 6:14 p.m. when a 46-year-old Orion Township man reported he was involved in an argument with his 21-year-old son, who started spitting at the man and punching him.
Deputies arrived and interviewed both parties and saw redness to the victim’s face.
Based on statements made by both parties, and observations of the deputies, the son was placed under arrest.
While taking the suspect into custody, them man resisted the deputy’s requests and spit in their faces, an incident report stated.
The suspect was lodged at the Oakland County jail for domestic assault.
The suspect was later arraigned on charges of Domestic Violence and two counts of Assault on a Police Officer.
He was given a $5,000 personal bond and released. — J.N.
