The Orion Township Board of Trustees authorized posting and advertising for the Appraiser III position (a level 7 position) in the assessor’s office.
The position will be vacated on Nov. 20 by Penny Shults, who won the Republican primary for township clerk and will run unopposed on Nov. 5.
Township Supervisor Jerry Dywasuk said they would like to have a new employee in position prior to Shults? leaving. He anticipates completing the hiring process in October.
