An 84-year-old Orion Township resident said he will not be seen in any grocery store meat departments for at least a year after shooting an eight-point buck and trapping two beavers in November.
Kelly Ball, the long-time resident, shot the buck on the opening morning of deer season, and trapped the beavers the week after. One beaver was a 20-pound yearling while the other weighed 73 pounds, Ball said. – J.G.
