The Lady Wolves posted their first win during their meet against Lake Orion last week, 186-207.
“It was thrilling,” said Clarkston Varsity Golf Coach Steven Hoffman. “I am expecting a lot more positive things from this team.”
Medalist was junior Katie McKnee with a 44 and captain senior Anna Gray shot a 46.
The Lady Wolves finished in seventh during their first OAA meet on Aug. 27. Junior Paige Olsen was a medalist.
“It was her best round so far,” Hoffman added. “Anna, Katie, Caitlin (McCaghy), Shelby (Fleming), Paige and Dana (Olsen) will make an impact this season. I have high expectations they will score big.”
He noted the team will place higher by the next OAA meet.
“Our ladies understand they can play with some of the very best talent in Oakland County,” Hoffman noted. “Oakland County is a hot bed for golf. Now we have to put the game together as a total package.
Watch for a preview on the Lady Wolves’ season in an upcoming edition.
