No horsing around -they are champs!

The girls from Clarkston Varsity Equestrian team jumped into the air in celebration of finishing their season fourth in the state.
‘The team had a great season,? said Tom Hawkins, head coach. ‘They won the District and Regional Championships this year against some very tough competition.?
The regional win took the team to the Division B State Competition Finals in Midland on October 15-18.
The girls finished in fourth after totalling 254 points, one point behind the third place finisher Rockford.
Chelsea won the state meet with 275 points and Grand Haven took second place after scoring 274 points.
The team took first place at regional meet, in Shiawassee, held October 3-4, with 538 points. They beat Utica Eisenhower (469 points) and Ann Arbor Skyline (387 points).
‘The coaches are extremely proud of all the riders and their success this season,? said Hawkins.
