After seven years in his Ortonville office and more than 21 years as a chiropractor, Dr. Mitchell Marr, owner of Marr Chiropractic, still remembers the day he discovered the key to optimum health.
‘Not only did the chiropractor relieve my pain and help me recover from my football injury, his care also allowed my entire body to function better,? Marr said. ‘It actually heightened my senses, and allowed me to feel better than I had known was possible.?
Marr’s story is a testimonial to the benefits of chiropractic care. As a 17-year-old senior at Allen Park High School, he sustained a serious neck injury during a football game and was in considerable pain the weeks that followed.
Marr reports, ‘I finally sought treatment from my father’s chiropractor. That care not only improved my neck, but also my overall health. I knew then that I wanted to impact other’s lives in this way.? Although Marr was recruited by several out of state college football programs, he chose to attend the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and later Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, S.C., where he received doctorate in chiropractic.
By providing chiropractic adjustments, Dr. Marr helps to correct spinal misalignments and restore proper nerve flow throughout the body. Without this normal nerve supply, affected organs and tissues are more prone to diesease, often producing the symptoms of pain and ill health. ‘We allow the healing process to continue,? explains Marr. ‘We fix what’s causing the problem, and allow the patient to experience the greatest level of health possible.?
‘After personally experiencing the benefits of care after my football injury, pursuing a career in chiropractic became a calling for me. Chiropractic just makes sense. It’s provided by well-educated doctors. It’s safe. It’s natural. It focuses on correcting the underlying cause of health problems. And most important-it works.?
