The Dicks Sports team from Lake Orion were the champs of the 15-and-under 2022 Fall Baseball League, finishing with a 7-0-1 record.
The team is made up of players from Lake Orion and surrounding communities who play at Friendship Park in Orion Township.
“All the kids are from the area, mostly. It’s a great league with good players,” said coach Rod Honaker.
Several area players earned all-league honors: Pio Schmitt, Shane Honaker, Elijah Strunk, Cam Moore, Brady Toelke, Casey Archer, John Karloff, Noah Lavass and Jay Novak.
“All of them are some of the best players in the league,” Honaker said. — J.N.
