Girls open with win over Farmington, boys fall

In their season opener last week, the Lake Orion High School varsity bowling teams kicked off the season against Farmington High School at Collier Lanes.
The ladies ended the night defeating the Falcons 17-13 while the boys fell short with a 19-11 loss.
The ladies started out with a loss in their first baker game 632-661 but came back to dominate in the second game with a 726-654 victory, enough to win the series. Leading the Dragons in scoring for the girls was Kallie Harris who had a total of 312 points in both games.
While the boys fell in both games, the Dragons were led by Reese Colwell who had 401 points total from both games.
On Monday, both teams were back in action at Collier Lanes taking on Royal Oak High School and ending the night with a Dragon sweep of both Ravens teams.
The ladies secured a 30-0 win, taking both games and winning the series by nearly 800 points. Harris led the Dragons again with a total of 398 points in both games.
The boys snagged their first win of the season against the Ravens with a 20.5-9.5 win after winning both games to take the series. Leading scorer for Lake Orion, again, was Colwell who totaled 415 points in the two games.
