Lake Orion’s softball team remains undefeated after taking on North Farmington on May 2.
In the first game of the doubleheader the ladies dominated with an impressive 14-3 win.
It was a scoreless matchup until the third with Hailey Melchert hitting a double to get Tessa Nuss home and Sarah Conley hitting Melchert home.
The Dragons dominated in the sixth and seventh innings, scoring 11 total runs with Paisley Stevens, Nuss and Paytin Shadaia each hitting home runs.
In the second game of the doubleheader the ladies also scored another win with a final score of 9-5.
Lake Orion scored big in the third with five runs.
Conely started things off with a double and Abby Maresh followed with a base hit. Both ladies scored after a base hit from Kim Sosnowski. Hannah Jenkins hit Sosnowski home and Nuss rounded out the third inning with a two run homer.
On Monday, the Dragons hosted yet another OAA Red division contender – the Oxford Wildcats.
Lake Orion dominated in both games winning the first game 10-0 and the second game 21-2.
The ladies are now 6-0 in the OAA Red. They take on the Clarkston Wolves on Wednesday at Clarkston High School.
