The Lake Orion powerlifting teams hosted their regional powerlifitng competition on Saturday.

The Dragon field house was packed full of prospective teams looking to not only take home a victory, but also to qualify students for the upcoming state competition.

Lake Orion’s women’s varsity powerlifting team faced 16 opponents. Out of the 16 other schools, the Lake Orion ladies finished in 3rd place overall with a total score of 87.

Lake Orion’s men’s team took home first place out of the 14 other teams competing, earning a total score of 106.

Several Lake Orion athletes also qualified for the state meet on March 9-10 at Ionia High School.
