The Lake Orion boys’ varsity basketball team is now 2-3 after they lost a game at home on Friday but came back strong the next day to win an away game.
The Dragons lost to Athens High School 44-36 on Friday, and then defeated Bridgeport High School 41-34 on Saturday.
Senior captain Alden Ritt was the leading scorer for both games, with 17 points and 10 rebounds on Friday, and 18 points and seven rebounds on Saturday.
Senior Malachi Grandberry also had a couple of strong games, with seven points on Friday and nine points and two assists on Saturday.
Juniors DJ Morrow and Blake Liddell rounded out the offense, with Liddell contributing eight points and eight rebounds on Friday, and Morrow with eight points and three rebounds on Saturday.
Senior CJ Witt’s defensive efforts were a big part of the Saturday win, too.
The Dragons’ next game is away at Notre Dame Prep on Dec. 21 after Review press time.
