Oxford resident Patrick Andrew LaFleur, 31, was sentenced for 35 to 50 years in prison for attacking, maiming and kidnapping an Oakland Township woman.
LaFleur’s sentence will not be enacted until 2013, after he has served ten years for violating his parole.
Oakland County Sheriff’s Department Detective Greg Glover stated that LaFleur must serve his ten years and then the minimum of 35 years before being eligible for parole.
“That would make him at least 76 years old before he could even begin to get out,” said Glover.
LaFleur’s victim spoke at his sentencing, thanking the court and the Oakland County police officers who have helped her find a conclusion and a sense of security.
