After a long fought battle for a district title, the Oxford Ladycats ended their reign at last Wednesday’s semifinals against Waterford Mott, losing 38-58.
The team was led by junior Jessica Raisch with 15 points and five rebounds.
‘Overall, I am very pleased with our season,? said Coach Al Poynter. ‘While I’m disappointed, especially for our three seniors, that we were not able to get to the district championship game, we put up a good fight and we can use it as motivation for next season.?
Junior captain Joelle Harms made First-Team, All League for the Flint Metro League, Raisch made Second-Team, All League and senior captain Kelsey Oliver and junior captain Brooke Bocquet both received honorable mentions.
Oxford finished their season 15-7 overall and 13-3 in the FML.
