The Oxford Varsity boys? lacrosse team squeezed in a win last week when they beat Swartz Creek 4-1, but were whipped by Lake Orion last Tuesday 17-1.
‘I told the guys going into the game that this would be a way to gauge where we need to be for next year, so obviously we’ve got a long way to go,? said coach Brian Edwards.
Although Oxford played a great first half, Lake Orion ‘came alive? during the second scoring 14 goals.
‘I think we played hard, but they are a great team,? Edwards said.
Oxford will wrap up their season against Port Huron tonight at home at 6:30 p.m.
