Kids’ day celebration focuses on heath and safety

Dr. Greg Ramboer and Dr. Becky Simmons, from Lifepointe Chiropractic Center, will be hosting their second annual Kids’ Day celebration, a health and safety awareness day, for the families in the Clarkston community.
The event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 13.
“We wanted to reach out to the community and give back,” Dr. Simmons said. “We recognize how important the health and safety of kids are.”
The festivities will include clowns, face painting, carnival games and a moonwalk to entertain the kids.
The two doctors will be providing information on crime prevention, child safety as well as health and wellness. Other events planned to promote security include an Oakland County Sheriff Department officer having his police dog, Niko, and car on site. The officer will be donating special child identification cards to every child that attends and he will be fingerprinting them for free.
There will also be free computerized spinal screening and Connie Hoffman providing free massages for everyone.
With the help from many local businesses, the doctors will be holding a raffle with all proceeds going to the Grace Centers of Hope Children’s Charity. The charity focuses on helping abused and underprivileged children.
“They help families by providing them food and clothing. They also work with children from abused families and help them out,” Dr. Simmons said.
The doctors will also be accepting any donations for the Grace Centers of Hope Children’s Charity.
The events run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 13 at Lifepointe Chiropractic Center at 5896 Dixie Highway (between Maybee Road and Andersonville Road.)
“My team and I invite all our friends and neighbors to join us at this unique, fun-filled community awareness event,” Dr. Ramboer said.
