The annual charity classic car show rolls into Downtown Lake Orion for the fifth year on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The 12th annual Golling Buick GMC and Lake Orion Police Department’s Kids and Kops car show will likely feature more than 170 classic cars, ranging from the 1930’s to 1980’s, including classic police cars, trucks, hot rods, motorcycles and more.
Car registration begins at 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. Also at 8 a.m., Lockhart’s will be holding an all-you-can-eat charity pancake breakfast until 10:30 a.m.
Classic cars will fill Broadway Street up to Shadbolt and down Flint Street from Lapeer Road to Anderson Street and are viewable for free throughout the day. Donations are not necessary but are greatly appreciated.
Dream Cruise t-shirts for 2019 will also be available for purchase at the event.
“It’s a fun day,” said Bill Kokenos from Golling Buick GMC. “We give out 50 Cruiser Awards and 25 Awesome Awards…like ‘the car you would least likely want your daughter to be picked up in’ or ‘the car you would least likely want to show up at your front door.’ We don’t do best of show. We want this to be a fun and happy event… It’s a way to show the village off.”
Rockin Ronnie will emcee the car show, and play 50’s and 60’s music throughout the event.
