Gateway Pediatric made their Lake Orion debut last Tuesday with their grand opening and ribbon cutting.

Located at 1236 S. Lapeer Rd., Gateway Pediatric offers one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for children ages 2-21 on the autism spectrum.

“We provide one-on-one therapy that works on building skills. Whether it’s learning how to tie your shoes, learning how to follow instructions, daily living skills like folding clothes, doing chores or even like, learning how to get a job,” said Clinical Director Elizabeth Elias. “ABA is super individualized therapy, it can be tailored to any kid and any need.”

Along with working to build these skills, they also work on more challenging behaviors such as tantrums, outbursts and aggression.

Their expansion to Lake Orion came from wanting to be more accessible to their clients that are already in the area.
