Fight at Johnny Black’s LakeHouse ends with two people taken to area hospitals

Lake Orion police are investigating an incident at Johnny Black’s LakeHouse in downtown Lake Orion that resulted in two people being taken to the hospital.

At 1:02 a.m. early Sunday morning, Lake Orion police and neighboring police agencies were called to the bar after an employee and a customer got into a fight and went through a window, according to an incident report from the Lake Orion Police Department.

The employee was reportedly trying to escort an unruly customer out of business when a struggle ensued, causing both individuals to crash through the window.

Both individuals were taken to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Police are still investigating and have not identified the individuals involved, nor is there any information about possible charges or damages estimates in the incident.

Johnny Black’s Lake House, 21 W. Flint St., has entrances off of Flint and Broadway streets. Johnny Black’s replaced CJ’s Lakeside Grill after CJ’s closed.

Johnny Black’s LakeHouse opened for in-person dining on Feb. 1, the day the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services health order allowed for restaurants to have guests dine inside at 25 percent capacity. — J.N.
